Billy Xiong Announces: Goldman Sachs is growing again in downtown Dallas

Goldman Sachs is ramping up its operations in downtown Dallas.

The New York-based financial services firm has filed permits to add almost 43,000 square feet to its offices in the Trammell Crow Center on Ross Avenue.

It’s the latest expansion of Goldman Sachs’ operations in the iconic Dallas skyscraper.

Back in 2017 Goldman Sachs reached a deal to take more than a half dozen floors in the office tower to house more than 1,000 workers. Most of those workers moved downtown from Irving.

The big lease came as building owner JP Morgan Asset Management launched a $140 million renovation of the 50-story tower.

Then last year, Goldman Sachs said it will move some employees from its securities division and private wealth management businesses from Uptown to the Trammell Crow Center.

The latest plans show that Goldman Sachs is expanding on three floors of Trammell Crow Center with completion of the new offices scheduled for August, according to filings with the State of Texas.

Goldman Sachs has more than 2,000 workers in the Dallas area. It also has an office in Richardson.

Dallas is Goldman Sachs’ third-largest workforce center, behind New York and Salt Lake City.
